History

The University of Cumbria also has a long and prestigious history of delivering first-class higher education.

Formed in 2007, the University of Cumbria was created from three institutions: Cumbria Institute of the Arts, St Martin’s College and UCLan’s Cumbria sites including its campus at Newton Rigg all of which had long, successful histories.

At the University of Cumbria we are committed to providing a first class education and an outstanding student experience in a flexible and supportive learning environment. We are proud of our extensive portfolio of high quality courses in education, health and wellbeing, arts, business and science.

International Admissions

The University of Cumbria welcomes international students from all over the world onto their foundation, pre-sessional, study abroad and international exchange programs. Entry requirements to programmes may vary depending on the course and study level chosen. English language proficiency may also be an entry requirement.

Students will need to apply through the UCAS service, or use the application forms on the University of Cumbria website.
