University of Exeter Business School offers a unique and ideal environment for postgraduate study. Our excellent research ratings (5 for both economics and finance) ensure you will work with faculty who are active researchers and enthusiastic about their subject. Our staff have a great reputation for being friendly and accessible, and the School ranks highest at the University for its organisation and management.
University of Exeter Business School offers both research and taught masters degrees in finance, accounting, economics, tourism policy and management (see the full list below). They are taught by a faculty that is almost entirely qualified to doctoral level, including many senior academics who are also international consultants and government advisors. Our facilities include learning and IT resources that are rated by students as some of the best in the UK, and you will have access to all of the databases you would expect from a quality business school, such as Reuters and Datastream.
National Student Survey 2007 University of Exeter Business School at the University of Exeter has the most satisfied students of any UK business school, according to this year’s National Student Survey.
We are rated 1st for student satisfaction in both Management and Business, with Accounting and Finance 2nd and Economics 6th. This is the second year running that the School has topped the satisfaction chart, ahead of much larger business schools in the UK.
More than 140 universities and higher education colleges took part in this year’s National Student Survey which asks final year students what they think of their course. Students are asked to rate their university experience in seven areas: teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, personal development and overall satisfaction.
The National Student Survey also ranks the overall performance of UK universities. Exeter came 7th overall and 4th in the list of traditional universities. This is the third year in a row that Exeter has come within the top ten. The Survey is the latest piece of good news for the University which last month moved up 11 places in the Times Good University Guide to 17th in the UK. Undergraduate applications were up 23% this year and research grant income up 43%.
Bursaries and Scholarships are offered by the School. For 2008/9 we are offering Distinction Scholarships worth up to £5,000 for applicants showing exceptional academic and professional potential. In addition, we offer a larger number of bursaries for applicants showing good academic performance or requiring special assistance with tuition fees. During any one year we have about 450 postgraduates studying with us, of which about 70 are studying research degrees. Most of them live in university accommodation for postgraduates, which gives convenient access to both the University Campus and the nearby City Centre
Please contact us for the School’s Postgraduate Prospectus or any other further information, and we will be happy to help in any way we can.

| MSc in International Management
| |
"An MSc in International Management gives you the opportunity to work in teams with people from other cultures, listen to what they say and try to understand different ways of thinking. The course actually acts as an introduction to the business world that follows.
After a year of compulsory military training in Greece, my objective was to find a job in a company which would give me international exposure. I applied to four companies, researched each of them and I was offered a job after my first interview! The company I work for, Going Up, is a mobile marketing agency that specialises in designing and implementing large scale SMS promotions in cooperation with Mobile Operators worldwide. Being in touch with my Exeter classmates has been helpful from time to time, from finding out the cost of sending an SMS message in Colombia to helping me with a campaign based on the most attractive cars in Turkey. By far the most extraordinary achievement though was to enter into negotiations with Pakistani operators through my ex-class mate Mohammad Ahsan." |

The time spent at Exeter has been my most productive yet. The course was very challenging, but the high quality teaching and general friendliness of staff made it less difficult. Thanks to my professors I really built up my level of confidence. Somehow this is what I needed to continue on the career path I have always dreamed of. My ambition is to be Head of the West African Monetary Institute. |
