In external reviews of our teaching standards by the UK Quality Assurance Agency, NTU was awarded the highest grade for Chemistry ('excellent'), Biosciences (24/24) and Physics (24/24) - an achievement unbeaten nationally. The Adsetts Learning Centre brings together traditional library services and high-tech computing and multimedia facilities. Over £17 million has recently been invested in new buildings, and 2,300 study spaces - more than 750 equipped with PCs. There are also substantial computing facilities on each campus. Over 2,500 PCs running Windows are available, all connected to the campus-wide network and provide easy access to over 250 software packages including Microsoft Office, e-mail and a web browser. All students have access to the global facilities of the internet, including e-mail and the World Wide Web, via our powerful links. Our networks also support accessing the internet for off-campus users together with access to University library catalogues and national and international databases.
