University
of Cumbria
Global & Local Sustainability Research by
post-graduate students in the National
School of Forestry & the Centre
for Wildlife Conservation, University
of Cumbria
We
work around the world on forestry, wildlife and conservation issues,
whether it is investigating biodiversity impacts of oil palm
plantations in Sabah, scent marking behaviour of bears in Canada,
pandas in China and tigers in India or the genetics of Nautilus on the
Great Barrier Reef off Australia.
Closer to home, we are
working with rural communities on local issues such as installing
renewable energy production, measuring carbon in upland woodlands,
excluding grey squirrels from surviving areas of red squirrels or
encouraging butterflies in biomass production woodlands.
